Kevin C. Barrett

Kevin Barrett is a Managing Partner at Freeflow Ventures, a venture capital firm that makes earlystage investments in technology start-ups at Caltech and Berkeley. In addition, he serves as a board member of Avel eCare, a portfolio company of Aquiline Capital Partners and InformedDNA, a portfolio company of Triple Tree Capital Partners. He also serves on the advisory board for MRO, a Parthenon Capital Partners portfolio company, and the Board of Trustees for Family Promise, a nonprofit organization addressing family homelessness in the U.S.

Previously, Kevin served as President & CEO of Altegra Health, a Parthenon portfolio company acquired by Change Healthcare (now Optum/UnitedHealth). Prior to joining Altegra Health, Kevin’s experience included: (1) an executive-in-residence position with Bain Capital Ventures and SV Life Sciences; (2) Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer of PolyMedica Corporation; (3) Senior Vice President of BG Medicine; and (4) Chief Operating Officer of the Synergy Informatics division of Quintiles Transnational. Kevin holds a BA in Psychology from Columbia University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
